Investment 2011

Important Notice, July 2011
 - HWP shareholders should have received a letter regarding their first instalment due 20 September. More information on the first call will be added to this page in the next few weeks.

The Hurunui Water Project (HWP) announced in November 2010 that Hurunui District landowners are now the holders of the 20,000 partly paid ordinary shares it recently offered the public pursuant to its investment statement and prospectus. HWP-share-allotmentNov-2010.doc (52KB)

Share applicants were notified individually as to how many shares they received. The HWP offer was over-subscribed as of 29 October 2010, and therefore the allotment of shares had to be scaled back in accordance with the priority rules outlined in the prospectus.

The offer sought to raise between $4million and $8million to move the Hurunui Water Project (HWP) closer to resource consent. You can view the prospectus here - Hurunui-Water-Project-Ltd--Prospectus.pdf (6.19MB). The investment statement and newsletter detailing the offer are also available as downloads at the bottom of this page.

It is intended that the ordinary shares of the Company will eventually be linked to water right shares (which are intended to confer the right to take water) when resource consents are approved for the HWP irrigation scheme.

Funds raised through the offer will be used by the Company to support the HWP through the resource consent process, the Zone Committee liaison and the NRRP and Water Conservation Order hearings.

For shareholders that would like to transfer shares into another name or to another person, this can be achieved by filling out the Share-Transfer-Form.pdf (135KB) downloadable here and sending it to the registered office.  If you would prefer us to mail you the form then please get in touch with our office on phone 03 378 3524.

Likewise, those landowners that missed out on the last share allotment can register their interest for purchasing shares by downloading the following Expression-of-Interest.doc (81KB)form and sending it to the HWP Office.

For more information please contact Amanda Loeffen at the project office on phone (03) 378 3524.
